Oak Haven

My wife & I, two of our daughters, a son-in-law and two grand children stayed at Oak Haven for 5 nights on a trip to celebrate the wedding of our third daughter. It was a very pleasant home that perfectly fit our needs. The three bedrooms and two baths accommodated our needs perfectly. The home was clean and well stocked with appliances. The decor was a bit eclectic; Clearly an artist's vision. The kids enjoyed the tree swing out back and the adults enjoyed the outdoor seating. The outdoor landscaping/gardens are nicely done and well kept up. The house is very convenient to hiking trails along the arroyo and up into the local canyon. I would highly recommend it.

I loved this rental and hope to return again. It is half a block from the Arroyo trail, and I was able to pop out for hikes before work. The house itself is just gorgeous. Communication with management was friendly and helpful. I have only good things to say.

This place was wonderful. My family hit the front door the kids gave their approval smile and so did my wife and I. This place was very clean and comfortable with a 25 minute drive to Universal Studios. Kate was awsome from our 1st conversation to our last. The property description is accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities.
The property is clean and well-maintained.
The owner or manager provide good customer service.
I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative. I would like to come back in the future.
We truly enjoy the backyard grill and the hiking close to the house!

** There is a small thing that would need to be fixed. The shower head of hand shower in the master bedroom needs to be fixed. Water splashes on the bathroom floor in it also.

The home was very clean and comfortable. The weather was really hot and the A/C held up just enough. Our little kids (under 6) enjoyed playing in the patio. We got great use out of the BBQ grill and the kitchen was well-equipped. Bathrooms were both clean and well-maintained. Great stay and would return again!

very nice house, near freeway entrance, stores, restaurants. Hiking trails in walking distance. House has all the amenities you could want. Beds were comfortable. Linens very soft, lots of towels.We were 3 couples and an 8 month old and had a great time at this house.

I came to Pasadena with my family to visit my brother and his family who live nearby. The Oak Haven house is roomy, has comfortable beds and great internet. It's located in a quiet family neighborhood, not far from downtown Pasadena and lots of shops and restaurants and is full of beautiful character and large trees. This place is roomy, has great Internet, comfortable beds, nice kitchen and a large private yard, We enjoyed our stay at the home, and will definitely be back!

Great location for visiting Pasadena and Universal Studios. The home was very clean and well-appointed. The gift basket was a nie surprise.
Only downside was the skylight over one of the beds (made it hard to sleep in)

The house was clean, the kitchen well-stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We chose the house as it was close to our grandchildren and they loved the backyard swing and nearby trails. It was also close to attractions and restaurants in Pasadena and golf at the Rose Bowl. We had a couple of minor questions for the management and they responded promptly - even at 7:30pm. We loved the art in the house!

Oak Haven was a very comfortable place to stay for both my family of 4 and sister’s family of 4 as we needed to visit CA for a family emergency. Kate had a welcome package waiting when we arrived and we were able to order in or eat at the house for many of the meals during our visit. Everything needed for eating was very accessible and the home never felt cramped, even with all 8 of us. The pack n play and blow up mattress were also appreciated and utilized.

This house is hip and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Kathleen is a friendly and helpful host. The figurative and abstract art on the walls put a smile on my face. I hope to return to this comfortable place on future visits to Altadena.

Very comfortable, clean home walking distance to a fun hiking trail. The management company was very attentive and the location was great. Everyone had a lovely stay here and we hope to come back next summer!

This property is ideal if you enjoy hiking / biking as it is minutes walking distance from a local favorite trail. The property was super clean, well maintained, and the manager was extremely helpful. The bed was VERY comfortable! I plan to stay here again when I find myself in the area - super convenient to lots of different areas.

We had plenty of room for three couples to spread out and have our privacy while also enjoying the group activities. The place had comfortable beds and furniture, and all the appliances worked! My only beef was that the outdoor backyard patio space could have used a cleanup, but it wouldn’t stop me from renting the place again. Great place!

Oak Haven is everything you want in a vacation rental and more. The house is clean, the walls adorned with art works, the kitchen well stocked, the beds comfortable. The backyard is shaded by two grand oak trees. If you drive a Tesla you'll be pleased with the level 2 wall connector (40 amp) in the driveway. As well the property is steps away from a nature area, great for walking, exercising, and bird watching. The narrow residential street does get a lot of fast traffic, so pulling into and out of the driveway takes some getting used to. Last but not least, the property managers are very customer oriented and responsive. Highly recommended!

We were visiting my brother and his family who live in Pasadena and stayed here with my husband and our two boys. The backyard is amazing! My kids loved playing there and I loved that it was all fenced in. The master bed is super comfortable and the bathrooms seem to have been recently updated, which was a nice touch. Kate was super responsive with recommendations on where to eat too! It is nice to know that now we have a place to stay when visiting my brother! We will be back!

Our home burned down on July 5, 2017. While we were looking for a place to stay Kathleen reached out to us and told us about Oak Haven. It became our haven. We walked into the house with basically our clothes and a few belongings. The house felt like home immediately. The rooms were spacious yet quaint. We loved the master bedroom and the large windows that looked out into the beautiful, peaceful back yard. Off the dining room were french doors leading out to a little side porch where my husband and I started many mornings enjoying our coffee. The location was perfect. It took 2 minutes to get to the freeway and best of all for us it was 10 minutes away from our home. The rebuilding of our home took 11 months and the property managers amazingly made it available for us to stay. We feel blessed to have been able to stay at Oak Haven. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a vacation spot close to Pasadena, Los Angeles area.

We needed a place to stay while we moved my daughter out of her dorm and wrap up her school year. This place was great. Good location for us, plenty of room, excellent customer service. It was clean, had a lovely outdoor space, close to hiking trails.

Map software was correct, very easy to drive to and access.
Security features on property excellent. I would recommend installing a set of mirrors around driveway because between the pole and truck next door you are dealing with a blind area when backing out.

Overall House is fantastic. Only issue we had inside was the sun lights installed in second bedroom. That room has extremely bright ceiling lights from predawn to well after dark. It was hard to be comfortable in the spotlight room.

Back yard is beautiful but when we were there it was heavily invested with spider webs on nearly every back yard plant/feature. Spent 45 minutes cleaning out the webs and decided to simply not use.
Side Porch and Front porch are perfect retreat sites

This is a lovely house, very clean, uncluttered, and well equipped. The condition of everything is excellent. It is convenient to the highway and a short drive to downtown Pasadena. It is run in a very professional manner. We would stay again.

We enjoyed calling Oak Haven home for several months following a move from out of state. The team was wonderful in accommodating our many requests, from moving furniture around to helping us store some of our personal items to several stay extensions. We loved this home!
The pictures do not justify the charm of this home.
It did not feel like a rental, it felt like our home.
The home is spacious, clean, well located, with a great well equipped kitchen.
The highlight are the lovely out door areas for either entertaining or relaxing. A+ home

We always love our time in LA, but it's so nice to come back to a quiet home and recharge. The house was spacious, we didn't have to worry about our kids waking up people downstairs, and there are great outdoors areas nearby.

We were here for the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl game - it was a wonderful experience and the house made the stay comfortable and enjoyable. Kitchen had everything, great dinning room table were we all could eat, a little chilly to enjoy the backyard, but it was very nice. Bedrooms and bathrooms were great - modern and clean. House was very unique and we LOVED the art. We would defiantly stay here again!

This property was very interesting and unique. It had everything we needed and the photos, description, etc. were very accurate. The artwork was very colorful and bright and added an artistic dimension to the property. The side porch and backyard provided additional spaces to escape and relax.

Quiet, convenient location? Check. Good communication before and during our stay? Check. Comfortable beds, great kitchen, fantastic landscaping and back yard? Check. I can't say enough about this place. We (three adults and two almost-adult children) rented it for Christmas because our daughter is in graduate school in Pasadena and it just couldn't have been better. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
